Under 5 Care and Learning is a learning community made up of children, their families/whanau, teachers and support staff. We learn together and from each other in a safe and welcoming environment.

Through celebrating our diversity we endeavour to respect and gain an understanding of each other.

We acknowledge Maori as Tangata Whenua of Aotearoa/New Zealand and through our practice demonstrate the way bicultural perspectives can enrich the lives of all New Zealanders.

We believe that attitudes such as curiosity, perseverance, risk taking and problem solving are paramount in preparing learners for the future. Independence, appropriate self care, good manners and taking responsibility are encouraged. Having fun is vital.

By following the early childhood curriculum Te Whariki and through play, exploration and a well resourced environment we foster awareness and knowledge of literacy, numeracy, science, technology and the arts.
